I drew this out on paper and took a picture of it then colored it in photoshop. I thought about fixing the perspective, then decided not to. It's supposed to be funny, and I think if the perspective was perfect, it would take away from the funniness.
I got this idea from my networking class today. The teacher showed us an image very similar to this during our powerpoint lecture. It was funny, we all got a laugh.
For those of you who don't get it...logging in, like using a username and password...lol there ya go [[I would say it's pretty simple to get, but the guy that sits next to me in class is a network administrator and it took him like 30 seconds to get it ]]
LOL! Omg, this made my moment! xD It took me two glances to get it, but then I just laughed! And then my sister came in, looked at it, and laughed. And then we were both just laughing... Lawl.
Advanced Critique... Aw, gawd, I'm never good at these...
Well, one thing I can point out is that in the computer (beyond the glass) you can still see some brown of the log, even though you wouldn't expect to see the log there. Right now, it kind of looks like the log goes into the screen and then gets wider. To fix this, I suggest just imagining what the log would look like if it wasn't stuck in a computer and then filling in the areas inside the computer where there isn't a log with black or something. ...Gah, am I to confusing? If so, I could do a picture example...
Besides that, it looks great! I still lol at it! x3
yeah, i understand what you're talking about with the log. i noticed that and couldnt decide whether or not it would look right if i tried to change it. i'll give it a go and see what i can do. but thanks for the critique.
even though you think you're not good at them, you actually give me some of the best critiques... lol no one ever pays attention to that part of the comment box. which, it doesnt bother me, i'm not saying that if someone is going to comment they *have* to critique, i'm just saying that if you see something wrong, point it out, i don't mind.
but thanks for all your critiques, they really do help (and if you notice, i usually go and change them, too like, with the hand on that one picture with the mirror)

A network administrator didn't get it?! Blasphemy! That's actually an ancient chinese secret to get around certain security measures... that, and waving a rubber chicken over it.
I jest. It's a cute picture, though. The only real critique I can offer is that the end of the log looks kinda odd -- I'm not sure what the the 'ie slice' cutout is supposed to mean, but it looks a bit out of place.
The scan itself looks great, though. I don't really notice a perspective problem at all, there isn't anything that I'd shift if I was messing with it in GIMP. The colors and lines look right, so all in all you did a great job from start to finish. I like it a lot.

yeah. the only reason i did the end of the log that way is because that's how the end of the log was in the original picture that i was remembering (i took a long hard look at it in class so i could remember how to draw it when i got home). mainly, i just didnt know what to do with it if i didn't draw that slice. i think it's supposed to be a spot where the wood is slightly rotted, or "too ripe" even... i'm not sure. heck, maybe that's where the network administrater put the security permissions LOL
thank you very very much

(Lol, late reply. I've had so many comments to reply to that I just now got to this thing! )
xD It's really funny!
No problems! Critiques are what make artists better! So I support giving and receiving them! =3
I agree about what you said, though. I don't mind when people don't give critiques, but I like it when they critique to! Also, just so ya know, you and my friend ~SpeedlineTheHedgefox are my best critiquers! Thanks to you girls' feedback, I've learned a lot! ^_^ Sometimes I can always fix the things that are pointed out, but I do keep note of what is said for future art!
